Our Mission

Helping youth build a strong foundation for success in life by providing them with resources, positive mentors, information, and the support needed to bridge the gap between themselves, their families, and society.

Our goals

To work with youth and their families in building strong communication links; to encourage a basic bond of trust among one another; address issues locally through dedicated staff and volunteers who work as liaisons between parents, children, and the community ensuring all parties receive needed resources.

Our beliefs

The lack of education among our youth is at the root of many of their social problems; there is an urgent need for communication among youth, parents, and society.

Program History

Partner's Unlimited Inc. was originally established under the Auspices of the Western Carolina Coalition for Social Concerns; however, after receiving our 501(c)3 non-profit status in October of 1997, we have been on a path of continuous growth and development; providing services to children, families, and the local community and surrounding areas.

2000 - Established a partnership with Asheville Parks & Recreation who provided office and classroom space in the Reid Center For Cultural Arts -- Established a partnership with MAIN ( Mountain Area Information Network); began the computer recycling program through the Reboot Coalition; offered hands on training and knowledge to youth in computer skills and provided computers for local residents.

2004 - Received a grant from the North Carolina Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission; started the MLK project which was a character development program and included a field trip to the MLK Historic Site in Atlanta; with funding provided by the Buncombe County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, the founder/director was able to dedicate full time efforts to the program along with an increase in volunteers and part-time staff; funding also provided a program specialist and a licensed clinical social worker, increasing the scope and quality of services.

2005 -- opened N.E.W. D.A.Y, meeting the North Carolina Standards Course of Study Objectives.

2008 -- Started ASAP, Alcohol and Substances Abuse Prevention, providing abuse education and awareness.
